Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how the Kahrab app ("the app", "we") collects your data, and how it uses and protects it when you use the app or the kahrabapp.com website.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address (the basis of signing in), plus your name, phone number and city if you choose to add them to your profile.
• Content you publish: car listings and their photos, ratings and reviews, and charging stations you suggest adding to the map.
• Location: used to show charging stations near you on the map. If you switch on "nearby charger alerts" yourself, the app also uses your location in the background to notify you when you pass a charger, and you can turn it off at any time. In both cases the processing happens on your device: your location is never sent to our servers and we do not store it.
• Basic technical data: such as device type and crash logs, to improve the app's stability.

2. How we use your data

• Running your account and signing you in via the verification code sent to your email.
• Publishing your listings and showing them to users after review.
• Sending notifications about your activity (listing status, a new rating, a favourite).
• Improving the app and the overall experience.

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use it for external advertising.

3. Passwordless sign-in

Kahrab stores no passwords. You sign in with a temporary verification code sent to your email, or through your Google or Apple account. When you use those services we receive only your email address and name from them, according to the sharing settings you approve on their side.

4. Where data is stored

Our data is hosted with Supabase on secured servers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Emails are sent through Resend from our official kahrabapp.com domain.

5. Sharing data with others

• Anything you publish publicly (a listing, a rating, an approved charger) is visible to app users along with your display name.
• Your phone number appears only if you add it yourself, so buyers can reach you.
• We may disclose limited data where the law requires it.

6. Your rights

• Edit your profile data from inside the app at any time.
• Delete your listings and your content.
• Permanently delete your account and all of your data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account), or by contacting us, in which case we carry it out within 30 days at most.
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

7. Children's data

Kahrab is intended for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any material change will be published on this page, with the "Last updated" date above revised accordingly.
